Jan Quast was a German light-flyweight boxer who surprisingly won the bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Nationally, he won the last former GDR title in 1989, and then the German title three times after reunification, in 1990-91, and 1994. He also won the Chemie Cup international tournament at Halle on Saale in 1992-93, 1995-96. By profession, Quast became a chemical assistant with Bayer Leverkusen.
