Gerd Schubert was a flyweight boxer from West Berlin who lost his first bout against Thai Chawalit On-Chim by a clear decision at the 1972 München Olympics. He won three West German amateur national titles in 1969, 1971 and 1973. Schubert was a policeman by profession.
