Biography
East German Heidi Westphal rowed with Cornelia Linse in the double sculls at the 1980 Moskva Summer Games and won the silver medal. In 1979, the pair also won the East German national and World Championships. In 1981 and 1982 Westphal won two silver medals at the Worlds in the coxed quadruple sculls. Westphal studied economics and was later employed by the Leipzig Fair Company.
