Harold Dimke was an East German rower who was a member of the coxed eights crew that won the bronze medal at the 1972 München Olympics. The boat lost the silver medal by only 6/100 seconds against the US. Dimke won an East German title with the coxed fours in 1971, and also a silver medal at the Europeans the same year, just behind West Germany. Dimke later became a trained economist and worked with his home club Dynamo Berlin.
