Rower Christel Agrikola, sister of team-mate Georg Agrikola, finished second in the B-final (eighth in total) in the single sculls at the 1976 Montréal Olympics. In 1973, she finished third at the West German nationals, and in 1974 and 1975 finished second. She eventually won her first and only national title in 1976.
