Rower Rudolf Fickeisen won a gold medal at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics with the German coxed outriggers fours. One of his crew members was his brother Otto. Together with his brother Rudolf was German Champion in the coxed fours with Ludwigshafener Ruderverein in 1906 and 1907. In 1912 he came in second with the coxless fours.
