Glock won four West German national titles: in the double sculls with non-Olympian Dieter Haase in 1967, with Hild in 1968, and in the single sculls in 1969 and 1972. In 1970 he placed second behind Hild. During his active career he had great rivalries with Jochen Meißner and Hild in the single sculls.
