Biography

Róbert Éder was a rower with the famous Pannónia Rowing Club, and in 1910 was a member of the eights who won a bronze medal at the European Championships. Éder continued rowing competitively until 1920. After his sporting career, he worked as a technical adviser for the Budapest Electric Company. In the 1920s and 30s, he repeatedly clashed with the law. In 1921, he was sentenced to six months imprisonment for high treason, and in 1931, to eight months for deception.
