Biography

In 1929 as a rower of Budapest Evezős Club, László Kozma won the national championship in single sculls. The following year, he got a job in Szeged and because of this, he continued racing in the colors of the Szegedi Regatta Egylet. From there, he traveled to Lundenburg, Czechoslovakia, where he competed for the local rowing association. In 1935, he won the championship title as a competitor of Újpest. In 1936, he again defended his championship title as a rower of Budapest EC and represented Hungary at the Berlin Olympics.

After the Olympics, he only competed in smaller competitions and coached the rowers of the Budapest EC and then the BEAC. In addition to his rowing career, he skied for BTC and UTA, and in 1931 he set a Hungarian record in ski jumping with 48.50 meters. Between 1937 and 1941 he won the team ski jumping championship five times in a row for UTE. From 1940 he was also the coach of the Hungarian ski jumping team.
