Sándor Szobolevszky was a boxer of Terézváros TC. He was a multiple champion in lightweight. He competed at the 1928 Olympics but was eliminated in the first round.
He finished second to Mario Bianchini at the 1930 European Championships. Having been unemployed for more than a year, he moved to France and became a professional. He first appeared as Alex Sandy, but after it turned out that a Swiss boxer would also compete under that name, he changed his name to Alex Sándor. He moved back to Hungary in 1932 and continued to compete professionally. He still boxed in 1943.
In the winter of 1949, he and his little daughter wanted to cross the Danube in boats, where their boats capsized, and both died. He worked as a baker.
