Before Haruyoshi Nakagawa joined the University of Tokyo, he was wearing the colors of the Hachiko Rowing Club, the club of the 8th High School in Nagoya. In World War II, he served as a medical officer. In 1954, Nakagawa published his thesis under the title “Clinical study of paralysis”.
