Dutch rower Frank Moerman represented the Njord rowing club in the city of Leiden. In 1960 Moerman was part of the crew that won the coxed four title at the club, earning the team a place at the Olympics. At the Games the Dutch team advanced to the semi-finals via the repêchage before eventually being eliminated. Moerman was a medical student and later became a doctor.
