Sławomir Maciejowski

Sławomir Maciejowski was a Polish rower. Maciejowski began his sporting career in 1966 after choosing rowing over boxing. As a junior rower he was part of the coxed pairs that won the silver medal at the 1969 World Junior Championships in Italy. In the same year Maciejowski began his preparation for the Olympics while undertaking his compulsory military service in 1971 and 1972. At the 1972 München Olympics he was part of the Polish eights squad that finished in sixth place.

Maciejowski continued to row after the Olympics, competing at the 1973 European Championships and the 1975 World Championships. As a senior rower he won the Polish Championship on four occasions before retiring in 1978. In 2015 Maciejowski was awarded with the Silver Medal for Merits for the Polish Olympic Movement by the Polish Olympic Committee.
