Paul Piaget was the coxswain for the Swiss coxed pair of Édouard Candeveau and Alfred Felber in 1920. The threesome won the bronze medal in Antwerpen and the silver medal at the European Championships just weeks before the Olympics. In later years Piaget was replaced by Émile Lachapelle.
