Biography

Conegliano’s Erminio Bolzan was an Italian boxer of the 1930s. He was the one of the first Treviso boxers to compete at the Olympics. In 1932 he won his only Italian championship, in the novice category, under coach Oreste Colognato. Although the best Italian light-heavyweight of those years was Luigi Musina, it was Bolzan who fought at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he lost in the second round to Germany’s eventual silver medallist Richard Vogt. Bolzan never turned professional.
