Austrian sports shooter Barbara Troger qualified for the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics. She participated in the 10 metres air rifle event and placed 33rd. In 1985, she won a silver medal at the World Championships. Troger became a graduated nurse by profession and raised three children. She also coached the national youth sports shooting team.
