Jorge Jottar studied at the Instituo O’Higgins Rancagua, majoring in agriculture and trade. One of his hobbies was dove hunting, and this led him to skeet shooting, and he later became Chilean skeet shooting champion. In 1966 Jottar won the World Championship in skeet shooting.
