Biography

Valter Sentimenti competed at the 1952 Helsinki Games in the middleweight division. He was eliminated in the quarter-finals by the eventually silver medal winner, the Romanian Vasile Tiță, when the referee stopped the contest in the third round. The year before the Olympics, Sentimenti won a middleweight bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games. As a professional he had just five bouts in less than 12 months (1957-58), with a record of two wins and three defeats.
