Baron Édouard Creuzé de Lesser was a career officer. He was a student of the Saint-Cyr Special Military School from 1903-05 and served in World War I. Later he was promoted to Captain of the 24th artillery regiment and retired from the military in 1929.
Creuzé de Lesser lost his first wife at a young age and remarried. He had two daughters from his first wife and another five from his second wife. In 1923, he acquired the Château de Magnanne in Ménil, where he acted as mayor from 1926-45.
He was a trap shooter and placed sixth with the French team at the Stockholm Olympics in 1912.
