Biography

Louis Percy, the first Olympian from the Moselle department, competed as a rifle shooter at the 1900 and 1912 Olympic Games. Between 1911 and 1921, he won three medals at world championships including gold in 1911 in the military rifle, 3 positions, 300 metres event. During the occupation by the Germans in World War II, he was involved in the Résistance movement as a member of the Forces Françaises Combattantes (FFC).
