Biography
Sports shooter Gerhard Dommrich placed sixth in rapid-fire pistol at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. He earned four East German national titles in this event: 1967, 1969-71. His home club was SC Dynamo Hoppegarten. Dommrich had seemingly qualified for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, but lost the inter-national East-West German competitions.
