Karsten Bindrich was a German trap sports shooter who participated in four Olympic Games: 1996 Atlanta, 2004 Athens, 2008 Beijing, and 2012 London. As his best result, he closely missed the trap final in 2008 by a shoot-off, ultimately placing seventh. Bindrich’s greatest moment came in 2003 when he won the World Championships. He also won two bronze medals, individually in 2007 and in 1994 with the team.
In 1995 and 1998, Bindrich won the gold medal at the European Championships with the trap team. In 2001 the team won silver, and bronze the following year. In 2008, he won the individual gold medal. He also won over 15 German national titles. Bindrich owned a sports shop for sports weapons.
