German sports shooter Gerhard Bock won gold with the German free pistol team at the 1909 World Championships held in Hamburg. One year later he won a bronze medal in the same event at the 1910 Worlds. At his only Olympic appearance he finished seventh in the team dueling pistol at the 1912 Stockholm Games. He also finished 44th in the individual free pistol event. Bock competed for PSC Bärenzwinger Berlin. He wrote several textbooks about modern weapons.
