Biography

Armenian-born German pistol shooter Artur Gevorgjan fled from his home country during the 1990s. He took part in three consecutive Olympic Games from 1996-2004. His best result was a ninth place with the air pistol in 1996 at Atlanta. In 1999 and 2007, Gevorgjan also participated in the European Championships, but with little success. Later, he turned to coaching at his home club SV Bassum von 1848.
