Rapid-fire sports shooter Erwin Glock participated in two consecutive Olympic Games. At München in 1972 at the age of 51 years, he placed 16th, and four years later in Montréal he came in sixth, shooting 298 rings in the second round. Glock won 34 West German national titles in his sports shooting career. By profession, he was a sports teacher in Heidelberg. Glock wrote books on shooting and developed a training target for shooting.
