West German clay pigeon sports shooter Claus Koch finished ninth at the 1976 Montréal Olympics in the skeet event. He won several West German national titles, a European title, and a silver medal at the World Championships. He later turned to trap and skeet coaching. He also owned a weapon shop in his hometown Kaufbeuren. His daughter Iris became a sports shooter as well.
