West German sports shooter Alfred Radke finished sixth in the rapid-fire pistol event at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. In 1974 he was the individual World Champion, having won a team gold in 1978. In 1982 Radke added an individual bronze medal. He was awarded he Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. By profession, he was a policeman in Berlin.
