Biography
German sports shooter Erich Spörer finished fifth in the small bore rifle, prone over 50 metres event. He also placed 18th in the three positons event both at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. A competitive shooter since 1933 Spörer won two team silvers and a bronze at the 1939 World Championships.
