Ugo Amicosante

Ugo Amicosante was an Italian pistol sport shooter who competed in rapid-fire pistol at the 1964 and 1968 Olympics. Amicosante competed at two World Championships, finishing 21st in 1962 and 19th in 1966. He was also present at many international meetings, including those with Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, the Soviet Union, and Greece. He never won a national title due to the strong competition in the 1960s from Sergio Varetto and Giovanni Liverzani.

At the end of the 1960s, Amicosante became a technician. Under his guidance, from 1972 onwards in the federal center of Passo Corese, he trained many Italian pentathletes in shooting, including Olympic gold medalists Daniele Masala, Carlo Massullo, and Pierpaolo Cristofori. Amicosante remained in the sports environment until the 2000s at the service of the Italian Shooting Federation, helping to train technicians.
