Biography

Fernando Bernini was an Italian shooter who competed in the early post-World War II years and was a member of the Italian team that won the rapid-fire team gold medal at the 1947 World Championships in Stockholm, alongside Linari, Bertoni and Mazzavillani. He then competed in the London Olympics the following year. A multiple Italian champion, Bernini won the individual rapid-fire gold medal at the 1955 Mediterranean Games in Barcelona, and was awarded an Italian gold medal for athletic valor in 1965.
