Walter Frescura was an Italian sport shooter who competed at three Olympic Games in prone small-bore rifle (English match), with a best finish of fifth in 1976. Frescura débuted with the Italian team in 1970, while competing for Vallesella Shooting Club, and helped Italy win the 1970 world team title in the English match. He also won a silver medal at the 1979 Mediterranean Games. Frescura was a five-time Italian Champion, earned 48 international caps, and set seven Italian records, with a personal best of 598 from a perfect 600. He was awarded the Gold Medal of the Italian Olympic Committee for his shooting achievements.
