A three time Olympian in small-bore rifle shooting, Jesús Elizondo remained active in shooting after his competitive career. He became a judge, serving at several Olympics, and was the International Shooting Union’s techincal delegate in Barcelona 1992. He also served in various administrative functions, for the American Shooting Union, and the Mexican Shooting and Hunting Federation. He was president of the latter organization from 2006 until his death in 2009. In 1992, Elizondo was awarded the Olympic Order in Silver.
