Biography

Polish sports shooter Maciej Orlik represented Zawisza Bydgoszcz where he specialised in the pistol events. During his career Orlik became a three-time national champion, first in the military pistol in 1961, before winning two titles in the silhouette pistol (1969, 1971). In 1976 he was selected to compete at the Montréal Olympics where he tied for 27th in the 25 metre rapid pistol. He was later decorated with the Bronze Cross of Merit.
