Per August Stridfeldt was a day labourer before he joined the army. He had the ranks of sergeant and sub-lieutenant before he retired and joined the reserve as a lieutenant. With his wife Tora Augusta Lovisa (née Karlsson), who he married in 1901, he had two daughters and one son. At the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm he competed in one military rifle event, placing 20th.
