Orlando Cossani had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1951 Pan American Games 3×100 metre medley (with Pedro Galvão and the non-Olympian César Guardo), 2nd in the 1955 Pan American Games 4×100 metre medley (with Pedro Galvão, Federico Zwanck, and the non-Olympian Héctor Domínguez Nimo).
