Biography

Suzanne Wurtz was a French competitive swimmer who represented CN Paris. A specialist in the freestyle, Wurtz held the national record in the women’s 400 metres freestyle from 1919 to 1921. In 1920 she was the French champion in the 50, 100, and 300 metres freestyle, earning herself a place on the Olympic team. At the 1920 Antwerpen Games she swam in both the 100 and 300 metres freestyle but did not advance from the heats in either.
