Harold Goodworth was one of seven Britons in the high diving competition at the 1908 London Olympics but was the only one to reach the semi-final. Unfortunately, he progressed no further after finishing fourth with only the top three going through to the final from his heat. A former Amateur Diving Association (ADA) gold medal winner, Goodworth was a member of the ADA exhibition team that toured Britain giving displays of high and fancy diving.
