Biography
East German swimmer Sylvia Eichner missed the final in the 100 freestyle at the 1972 München Olympics, but with the 4x100 free relay she claimed the silver medal. At the 1973 Belgrade World Championships she won a gold medal with the relay. In both years she won East German titles with the Dresdner SC freestyle relay.
