Petra Nerger was an East German backstroke swimmer who competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. She failed to reach the individual 100 back final and was eliminated in the heats. She had qualified for the games by winning both the 100 and the 200 backstroke at the East German Championships that year. Nerger also had five other national podiums and earned two East German relay titles with TSC Berlin.
