Biography
Diver Gabriele Schöpe from Dresden in East Germany finished 15th in the platform event at the 1960 Roma Olympics, and did not advance to the final. In 1967 she earned her only East German national title. In 1962 and 1966 she won two bronzes at European Championships. Her sister Monika was also successful, but never participated in the Olympics.
