West German diver Maxie Michael was eliminated in the qualification round at the 1972 München Olympics in the women’s platform event. In 1969, 1971 and 1972 she won West German platform titles. Michael married her teammate and non-Olympian Carlheinz Löschner. She became a graduated teacher for mathematics and sports.
