Biography

West German swimmer Ralf Diegel swam the 200 and 400 metres individual medley at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He finished eighth and last in the 200 metres final, and came fourth in the B-final over 400 metres. In 1983-84, and 1986 he won national titles in the 400 medley. By profession, he became a tax adviser with his own practice in Köln.
