German swimmer Paul Kellner won the bronze medal in the 100 backstroke at the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games. In 1913 he won the German title in the 200 backstroke. Kellner was also a water polo player. He later became a lecturer at the German University of Physical Education in Berlin and published several textbooks about swim training.
