Peter Rosenkranz was a West German freestyle long distance swimmer who competed at the 1972 München Olympics. He was eliminated in the heats of both the 400 and the 1,500 m freestyle. He qualified for the Games as the West German 1,500 m freestyle champion that year. This was to be his only national title.
