Biography

Misao Yokota won the 100 m backstroke at the Japan Swimming Championships in 1932 and 1933. One year after her Olympic appearance, Misao Yokota joined the Takarazuka Revue troupe. She used Misao Mizuo as her stage name and had her début in “Princess Turandot”. In 1937 she was hired by the film corporation Nikkatsu and appeared in the movie “The King of the Suits”. She later married composer Nobuyuki Takeoka.
