Biography

Jo Stroomberg was a Dutch competitive swimmer who represented Het Y in Amsterdam. In July 1936 Stroomberg finished third at the national championships in the 200 metres breaststroke to earn herself a place on the Dutch Olympic swimming team. She swam in the same event at the 1936 Berlin Games but was eliminated in the heats. She continued to be consistent in the 200 metres breaststroke, setting a Dutch record towards the end of 1936, followed by another third-place finish at the 1937 national championships.
