Bill Dellow was one of non-league football’s most respected administrators. He was the secretary of the Southern League from 1956-82, when he became chief executive. From 1971, he also acted as treasurer. Prior to his involvement in administration, Dellow was a Football League referee. Following his death, the Southern League Knockout Cup was renamed the Bill Dellow Cup in his memory, in 1984
