Biography

After taking up gymnastics at the age of six Dora Cortigiani dedicated her life to the sport as a competitor, coach, and judge. Cortigiani was a gymnast and coach at Reale Società Ginnastica Torino, one of the oldest sporting clubs in Italy. She served as Veronica Servente’s technician when she competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Twenty years later, Cortigiani returned to the Olympics, this time in the capacity of a judge for the men and women’s floor exercises at the 2012 London Olympics.

Cortigiani worked at multiple international competitions during her career, including five world championships. In 2019 she was bestowed with an award for her longevity of judging service.
