Biography

Loekie Roeg-Rogge began her career as a hockey referee in the Netherlands in 1976. Roeg-Rogge quickly became an international referee and umpired in matches at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. For her work the International Hockey Federation (FIH) soon bestowed her with Grade One status for umpiring and she went on to officiate at the World and European Championships. In 1984 she umpired at the Los Angeles Olympics and became the first Dutch person to receive the Golden Whistle Award from the FIH.
