Biography

Henrique Sálvio was a Brazilian painter, poster artist, illustrator, and art professor. He was the first director of the Instituto de Belas Artes (IBA) in Rio de Janeiro in 1950-54. He also held the posts of president of the Brazilian Academy of Fine Arts and the Brazilian Society of Fine Arts.
